"U17 Lionesses" in the North African Championship
The Moroccan women's national football team for under 17 years old is participating in the North African Championship, which will be held in Tunisia from July 16 to 23, with the participation of the teams from Tunisia, Libya, Botswana, and Morocco.
A statement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, published on its official website, indicated that this tournament will be held in a mini-league format, where each team will play three matches, with each match consisting of two halves of 40 minutes each.
The same source added that the Moroccan women's under 17 team will begin its participation on July 18 against the Botswana team at the Kram Stadium, before facing the Libya team on July 20 at the same stadium, and concluding its participation against the Tunisia team on July 22 at the Ariana Stadium.
This tournament comes as part of the preparations for the Moroccan women's under 17 team for the World Cup finals that will be hosted in Morocco.
