Real Betis: Sofyan Amrabat uncertain before the international break
Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini discussed the situation of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, currently recovering from his operation.
At a press conference preceding the match against Getafe CF, the Chilean technician indicated that the return of the Moroccan midfielder before the international break in March could be premature.
“Amrabat is currently continuing his recovery program on an individual basis. It’s possible that it’s still a little early for him to play again before the international break,” Pellegrini explained.
The Betis coach, however, left the door open for a positive development in the situation, specifying that the date of his return will depend on the progress of his rehabilitation.
“We will see based on the progression of his work and his commitment to training,” he added.
As a reminder, Sofyan Amrabat had recently undergone successful surgery in Amsterdam, Netherlands, after returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with the Atlas Lions. The Betis medical staff are now closely monitoring his rehabilitation to allow him to return to the field in the best conditions.
