FC Barcelona is thinking about a return of Abdessamad Ezzalzouli
FC Barcelona is studying the possibility of recruiting Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli in order to strengthen its offensive sector during the next season, reported this Tuesday the Spanish sports daily Marca.
According to the same source, the Catalan club's priority remains for the moment the activation of the option to purchase Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, estimated at around 30 million euros. However, Barça's sports management would closely monitor the situation of the Moroccan winger, considered as a strategic alternative.
The Ezzalzouli option could also represent a financial advantage for the Catalan club. Indeed, Barcelona still holds 20% of the economic rights of the player, currently under contract with Real Betis. This clause could reduce the total cost of a possible transfer.
Trained at the famous La Masia academy, the Moroccan winger is currently having a remarkable season with the Andalusian club. In 18 matches played, he scored five goals and delivered five assists, while distinguishing himself for his technical qualities, including 23 successful dribbles.
The Spanish newspaper also underlines that the player's offensive versatility, as well as his knowledge of the FC Barcelona environment, could make him one of the options seriously studied by the sports management of the Catalan club with a view to the next summer transfer window.
