Achraf Dari arrives in Sweden to strengthen Kalmar's defense
Moroccan defender Achraf Dari signed with Kalmar FF this Tuesday in the form of a loan from Al Ahly SC, valid until next summer. The 26-year-old will wear number 20 in his new colors.
Trained at Wydad AC, Dari made his debut with the first team in 2017 before establishing himself as a pillar of the Casablanca club's defense. During his time at Wydad, he played 141 official matches, building a solid reputation before continuing his career abroad.
Kalmar sporting director Mats Winblad welcomed the arrival of the Moroccan defender: “We are very happy to have reached an agreement with Al Ahly for the arrival of Ashraf. He has a lot of experience, which is exactly the profile we were looking for. He is a fast defender, very athletic, and also very efficient in the aerial game, both defensively and offensively. We can't wait to see him evolve under the colors of Kalmar. »
For his part, Achraf Dari was enthusiastic after signing his contract: “I am very happy to be here. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and play in front of the fans. I know Kalmar is a club with a great history and I will do everything I can to help the team. I hope we can achieve great things together and get good results in the Swedish championship. »
