The president of the National Professional Football League, Abdel Salam Belkchour, confirmed on Friday in Salé that the total budget for the national professional football league reached 965 million dirhams.
A statement from the federation clarified that Belkchour presented, during a meeting of the executive office of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, which aims to continue discussing the points listed in the agenda regarding "evaluating the work of the national football leagues" and "the national professional football league," a report on the indicators of the national professional league. He reviewed the results of the digital transformation that the league underwent between 2022 and 2026, along with the modernization of competition management mechanisms and services directed at clubs.
Belkchour also addressed, during this meeting chaired by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, the indicators of the transfer market, data on training centers, the development of the youth player base, the handling of insurance files, as well as the disputes file.
In this regard, efforts were presented to reduce the number of cases submitted to the relevant authorities, accelerate their processing, and enhance compliance with contractual obligations, contributing to the establishment of financial and administrative stability within professional clubs.
The league president emphasized that continuing digitization, enhancing governance, developing training, and addressing the disputes file remain among the league's priorities to elevate the competitiveness of national clubs.
He also provided statistics related to the number of players who have been qualified, foreign players in the professional league, players who transferred between national league clubs, as well as players who joined professional clubs coming from amateur clubs, and the number of players in the youth league.
The executive office of the federation approved, during the meeting, the proposal from the national professional football league to postpone matches for teams when more than three of their international players are called up to the national team.
