The Moroccan national team receives 19 million dollars.
The Moroccan national football team secured a financial reward of 19 million dollars from FIFA after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup, following their significant victory over the Canadian team with three goals to none in the match that took place for the round of 16.
This amount is part of the prize scale set by FIFA for teams that reach the quarter-finals, as teams finishing the tournament between fifth and eighth place receive a reward of 19 million dollars, with the possibility of increasing if the "Atlas Lions" continue their journey in the tournament.
The Moroccan team will have the opportunity to increase their financial rewards when they face the French team in the quarter-finals next Thursday, as they will guarantee at least 27 million dollars if they qualify for the semi-finals, while the prize increases to 29 million dollars for the third place, and 33 million dollars for the runner-up, while the world champion receives 50 million dollars.
In addition to performance bonuses, FIFA allocated 1.5 million dollars to each participating team in the finals to cover the costs of preparations for the competition, which is a separate amount from the performance-related prizes, noting that FIFA granted each football federation whose team qualified for the "World Cup" 10.5 million dollars.
It is worth mentioning that the Moroccan team received 25 million dollars in the "Qatar 2022" edition for finishing in fourth place.
