The defender of the national women's team, Nahila Benzina, was awarded the title of Best Player in the match between the Moroccan women's team and their South African counterpart, in the quarter-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Benzina's individual award came as a result of her outstanding performance during the match and her effective contribution in leading the Atlas Lionesses to achieve an important victory with a score of two goals to one.

It is worth noting that the Moroccan women's team secured a place in the semi-finals of the continental competition, with an official guarantee of participation in the World Cup scheduled to be held in Brazil in 2027.
