The first team delegation of the Egyptian Port Said club left the Egyptian capital, Cairo, today, Saturday, heading to the city of Casablanca, before moving to Marrakech to enter a closed preparatory camp that will last until August 16, in preparation for the start of the new football season.
The Egyptian team is conducting its camp in Marrakech with the aim of raising the physical and technical readiness of the players before the official competitions begin.
The Egyptian team will kick off its season with a match against Smouha on Saturday, August 22, at the new Suez Stadium, starting at 8 PM, as part of the first round of the new season's competitions.
The Egyptian club delegation includes 46 members, including 28 players, along with the technical staff led by coach Emad Nassar and the football director Saif Dawood.
In terms of transfers, the board of directors of the Egyptian Port Said club, headed by Kamel Abu Ali, has successfully finalized six official deals so far, including the signing of Moroccan striker Abdullah Al-Ziyani, coming from Hassania Agadir, under a contract that extends for four seasons.
In a related context, the Egyptian club continues its efforts to strengthen its squad, with the name of Moroccan player Reda Slim, from Al Ahly, emerging among the options, with the possibility of his transfer to the Port Said team on loan during the current summer transfer period.
The Egyptian club hopes to benefit from the Marrakech camp to finalize its preparations and get the squad ready before the start of the new season.
