Amrabat is pushing to return to Real Betis.

Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat continues to push for a return to Real Betis during the current summer transfer window, after expressing his desire to continue his journey with the Andalusian team, while Fenerbahçe insists on receiving a financial compensation ranging between 15 and 20 million euros, which the Spanish club refuses.

According to reports from Spanish media, Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini has requested to bring back Amrabat as part of his project for the new season, but the club's management will not make a final offer unless Fenerbahçe agrees to a new loan or reduces the transfer fee to an amount lower than currently requested.

The same sources added that Amrabat prioritizes returning to La Liga, after spending last season on loan at Betis, and he does not intend to accept any other offers, despite interest from Saudi clubs willing to make better financial proposals.

Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu confirmed that the player has reached an agreement with Real Betis regarding personal terms, noting that the Moroccan international has shown willingness to reduce his annual salary, which is around 6 million euros net, to facilitate the completion of the deal.

The salary represents one of the main obstacles in the negotiations, as Real Betis covered about 25 percent of the player's wages during the previous loan period, while Fenerbahçe took care of the remaining amount, which makes the Spanish club seek a similar arrangement or an additional reduction from the player.

For its part, Fenerbahçe has begun to reassess its position after the absence of offers that meet its financial demands, even though it had activated the purchase clause for Amrabat from Fiorentina for 12 million euros, aiming to make a profit from his sale this summer.

Real Betis hopes to take advantage of the passage of time to pressure the Turkish club, especially if the latter does not receive a suitable offer in the coming weeks, which may push it to accept a new loan or sell the player for less than 10 million euros.

Meanwhile, Betis management continues to work on offloading some players to create financial space to complete the deal, as Pellegrini sees Amrabat as the most suitable option to strengthen the defensive midfield, considering his familiarity with the team and his adaptation to the atmosphere of La Liga.
