"Emergency" delays the presentation of Al-Zaki in Jordan.

The Jordanian Football Association decided to postpone the press conference for introducing Moroccan coach Badou Zaki as the new head coach of the national team, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, at the association's headquarters in the capital, Amman, to a date that will be announced later.

The association clarified, in a statement, that the postponement decision was due to urgent family circumstances that prevented Zaki from arriving in Jordan at the scheduled time, confirming that the new date for the press conference will be announced as soon as it is determined.

The Jordanian Football Association had previously announced the appointment of Badou Zaki as the head coach of the national team with a contract extending for one season, renewable by mutual agreement, to lead the "Nashama" during the upcoming phase, particularly the 2027 AFC Asian Cup scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Zaki has an impressive record in his football career, both as a player and a coach, having contributed to leading the Moroccan national team to the Round of 16 in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, and he won the award for Best African Player in the same year, before embarking on a distinguished professional experience with Real Mallorca in Spain.

In terms of coaching, Zaki previously led the Moroccan national team to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2004, and he has coached several clubs, including Wydad Casablanca, Fath Rabat, Kawkab Marrakech, and Ittihad Tangier, in addition to the national teams of Sudan and Niger, before starting his new challenge with the Jordanian national team.
