FIFA's response came after the British newspaper The Times reported that Infantino offered Morocco the chance to host the final match of the 2030 World Cup in return for announcing his support in the upcoming elections, at a time when the FIFA president is facing increasing pressure over several controversial issues.

In a statement to the Spanish news agency EFE, FIFA confirmed that these claims are "false and misleading," emphasizing that Gianni Infantino has not made any commitments or promises regarding the country that will host the final match of the 2030 World Cup.

The international federation added that no decision has yet been made regarding the stadium or country that will host the final match, clarifying that the selection of the final stadium will be made "in due time," according to the procedures established within FIFA.

This denial comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding the preparations for the 2030 World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, while the opening matches will take place in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the World Cup.
