The draw for the UEFA Europa League playoff, which took place today, Monday, resulted in strong matchups to determine the qualifiers for the league stage.
The Scottish Rangers, if they overcome Jagiellonia Białystok from Poland in the third qualifying round, will face the winner of the match between Larne from Northern Ireland and Iberia 1999 from Georgia in the playoff round, while the qualifier from the match between Portuguese Benfica and Scottish Hearts will meet the winner of the match between Aarhus from Denmark and Sabah from Azerbaijan.
The draw resulted in a match between Turkish Trabzonspor and the winner of the match between Hungarian Ferencváros and Polish Górnik Zabrze, while the winner of the match between Finnish KuPS Kuopio and Romanian Universitatea Craiova will face the winner of the match between Armenian Ararat and Slovenian Celje.
Saint Truiden from Belgium will play against the winner of the match between Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar and Cypriot Omonia, while the winner of the match between Israeli Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Serbian Red Star Belgrade will face Czech Viktoria Plzeň.
The winner of the match between Irish Shamrock Rovers and Albanian Egnatia will face the Norwegian team Lillestrøm, while the winner of the Swedish Mjällby and Slovak Slovan Bratislava match will meet the winner of the Cypriot Paphos and Austrian Salzburg encounter.
The winner of the match between Bulgarian Levski Sofia and Kazakh Kairat Almaty will play against the winner of the Greek PAOK and Belgian Anderlecht match, while the winner of the Polish Lech Poznań and Faroese KÍ Klaksvik match will face the winner of the Swiss Thun and Icelandic Vikingur Reykjavik match.
The draw resulted in a matchup between the winner of the Czech team Hradec Králové and the Turkish team Beşiktaş against the winner of the Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb and the Lithuanian team Kauno Žalgiris, while the Greek team OFI Crete will play against the winner of the match between the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Bulgarian team CSKA Sofia.
The first and second leg matches in the playoff round will take place on August 20 and 27, with the winners qualifying for the league stage of the tournament.
