The European Football Association (UEFA) held the draw for the preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League for the new season 2026/2027 today, Monday.
The league path resulted in a matchup between the winner of the Turkish Fenerbahçe against Sturm Graz and the winner of the Czech Sparta Prague against the French Lyon.
The winner of the match between Greek Olympiacos and Dutch Nijmegen will face the winner of the Belgian Union Saint-Gilloise against the Norwegian Bodo/Glimt.
The first leg matches will take place at the home grounds of the mentioned clubs on August 18 or 19, while the second leg matches will be held at the home grounds of the other clubs on August 25 or 26.
The champions path in the draw also resulted in a matchup between the winner of the Bulgarian Levski Sofia and the Kazakh Kairat Almaty against the Greek AEK Athens, while Scottish Celtic will play against Austrian LASK.
The winner of the match between Croatian Dinamo Zagreb and Lithuanian Kauno Zalgiris will face the Norwegian Viking.
The winner of the Swedish Mjallby against Slovak Slovan Bratislava will meet the winner of the Armenian Ararat against the Slovenian Celje.
The winner of the match between Israeli Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Serbian Red Star Belgrade will play against the winner of the Danish Aarhus against Azerbaijani Sabah.
The first and second leg matches will take place on the same dates; that is, on August 18 or 19, and August 25 or 26.
