Youssef Al-Tazi is climbing a mountain peak in India.
The Moroccan climber Youssef El Tazi, who is 15 years old, managed to reach the summit of Kang Yatze 2 (6250 meters) in the Indian Himalayas at the beginning of August, after an eight-day journey.
El Tazi has previously climbed more than fifty mountain peaks within Morocco, as well as international summits, including "Ararat" in Turkey, "Kilimanjaro" in Tanzania (the highest peak in Africa), and "Elbrus," which is the highest peak in Europe.
On this occasion, El Tazi presented himself as the "youngest Moroccan, African, and Arab mountain climber to reach an altitude of 6250 meters," marking a new stage in his sports project "The Road to Everest 2028."
According to the same source, the summit of Kang Yatze 2 was reached without the use of supplemental oxygen, as the climber only carried an oxygen cylinder designated for emergencies, adhering to the safety procedures established for such altitudes.
