They achieved a valuable victory over Kenya 1-0, with the goal scored by Sinatou Mbeng in the 35th minute, bringing them back into the race for qualification to the quarter-finals.

The "Teranga Lionesses," led by coach Mame Moussa Cissé, rely on tactical discipline, defensive solidity, and physical intensity, alongside players with continental experience, including Nguenar Ndiaye, the all-time top scorer for Senegal in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations with five goals.
