Fulham targets Betarash from Madrid.

Fulham FC, led by their Spanish coach Álvaro Arbeloa, continues its movements in the summer transfer market after finalizing the signings of Gonzalo García and César Palacios. The club has set its sights on a new talent from Real Madrid's academy, namely the Spanish midfielder of Moroccan descent, Thiago Pitarash.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Vichajes," Pitarash has become Fulham's next target, as they seek to reach an agreement with Real Madrid for his transfer. His market value is estimated at around 20 million euros, and the player has shown his initial willingness to experience the Premier League.

Fulham had completed a deal worth 50 million euros with Real Madrid to acquire 70% of the rights to Gonzalo García and César Palacios. The London club hopes to replicate the same formula with Pitarash, one of the standout graduates from the "Valdebebas" academy.

Fulham has been looking to strengthen its midfield for weeks and sees Pitarash as the right player for the specifications the team needs. However, negotiations are progressing at a slower pace compared to the previous two deals due to the player currently recovering from a left knee injury that will keep him out of action for several weeks.

At the same time, the English club is considering other options, including Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, whose club is asking for around 30 million euros to part with him, amid interest from several other clubs.

Despite this, Pitarash's desire to move is an important factor that could facilitate the completion of the deal, as he looks forward to working again under Arbeloa and playing alongside Gonzalo García and César Palacios, with whom he previously played in Real Madrid's youth teams.

The newspaper noted that Arbeloa's departure from Real Madrid changed Pitarash's situation within the club. While he was expected to participate in the preseason under coach José Mourinho, the current plan now involves him continuing with the Real Madrid Castilla team, with no clear path to joining the first team.

This comes despite the role he played with the first team during the latter part of last season, as he participated in 16 matches across La Liga and the Champions League, starting several prominent matches, including two against Manchester City in the Champions League, as well as the first leg against Bayern Munich.

The same sources believe that the player sees a move to the Premier League as a suitable opportunity to gain more playing minutes, should his limited chances with Real Madrid's first team continue.
