Infantino: "The Morocco World Cup is exceptional."
FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his pride today, Thursday, in participating in the celebrations commemorating the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI's ascension to the throne, affirming that his presence in Morocco for this event is, for him, “a true honor.”
Infantino stated in a press statement, on the sidelines of the reception chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the city of Mdiq, on the occasion of the Throne Day celebrations, “I feel as if I am in my own country, in this great country, the Kingdom of Morocco, to participate in the celebrations commemorating the Throne Day.”
On another note, the FIFA President took this opportunity to express again his happiness at seeing Morocco co-host the centennial World Cup in 2030.
Infantino confirmed that “the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco is preparing to host alongside Spain and Portugal, will undoubtedly be the most beautiful in history,” emphasizing that the upcoming World Cup, which will take place in one of the most beautiful countries, Morocco, “can only be the most beautiful.”
In this regard, he pointed out that Moroccans, who love football and celebrate their national team with joy and passion, will also welcome fans from all over the world for the upcoming World Cup.
