Al-Asali retains the title of "Karate Fighting."

Moroccan champion Osama Al-Asli continued to shine in the "Karate Combat" competitions, successfully defending his middleweight title (77 kilograms) after winning by knockout in the first round against Brazilian Lucas Martins, during the match held in Miami, USA, on July 24.

Al-Asli's victory came against an opponent with significant experience in combat sports, as Brazilian Martins had previously fought in the "UFC" organization. He had also previously won the lightweight title in the "BRAVE CF" organization before quickly falling to the Moroccan champion.

This match marks Al-Asli's first successful defense of his world title since he won the belt in December 2025, after defeating Australian James Hani in five intense rounds; thus, he continues his unbeaten record within the "Karate Combat" organization, confirming his status among its top champions.

Following the end of the match, Al-Asli dedicated this achievement to King Mohammed VI and to the Moroccan people both at home and abroad, expressing his pride in raising the Moroccan flag in international arenas.

The Moroccan champion confirmed in his statements after the match that the successes achieved by Moroccan sports on a global level are no longer limited to football; they have extended to other sports, particularly combat sports, which have also begun to establish a notable Moroccan presence on the international stage.
