Al-Zabiri is close to joining "Santander" club.

Media reports have indicated that Moroccan striker Yasser Zabeiri will leave the French team Rennes after just six months since joining, according to the website "Foot Mercato."

According to the French site, the 20-year-old player has agreed to move to Racing Santander, the newly promoted team to the Spanish league, on loan, noting that only a few final details remain to complete the deal.

The same source explained that the decision to loan Zabeiri came after he struggled with a lack of playing minutes with Rennes, in addition to his declining status within the team following a change in the coaching staff, as coach Habib Bey left during the season and was replaced by Franck Haise; this prompted the young Moroccan striker to seek an opportunity for regular participation and to continue his development.

"Foot Mercato" mentioned that Zabeiri had joined Rennes last January from the Portuguese club Famalicão for 10 million euros, with a contract extending until 2029; however, he only participated in six matches for the team, playing just 42 minutes, a situation that frustrated the young player who had excelled months earlier in the Under-20 World Cup.

Moroccan striker Yasser Zabeiri had won the top scorer award at the Under-20 World Cup, which was claimed by the "Atlas Cubs," after successfully scoring five goals during the tournament.
