Officially.. Chabani is the new coach of Tunisia.

The Tunisian Football Federation has decided to appoint coach Moein Chaabani as the new coach of the Tunisian national team with a contract lasting four years, succeeding the French coach Hervé Renard, whose temporary mission ended after the exit from the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The official statement issued by the Tunisian Football Federation, following the meeting of the university office today, Tuesday, indicated the adoption of an assistant coaching staff consisting of Mourad Maliki and Saif Allah Hassani as assistant coaches, along with Khaled Al-Maghzawi as the goalkeeping coach and Hatem Bouleila as the physical trainer, to lead the upcoming phase.

Moein Chaabani's appointment came after his departure a few days ago from coaching Nahdet Berkane, in preparation for his first coaching experience at the national team level, following a successful career with clubs, most notably winning two CAF Champions League titles and five Tunisian league titles with Esperance.

The Tunisian coach took over the leadership of Nahdet Berkane in 2024, where he achieved with the team the African Confederation Cup title and gifted them their first championship in history in the Moroccan league, in addition to his previous experiences in the Egyptian league with Al-Masry and Ceramica Cleopatra.
