The Moroccan national coach Abdel Salam Wado was awarded the Best Coach in the South African Football League for the 2025-2026 season, following the exceptional season he had with Orlando Pirates, during which he achieved a historic treble that included the South African league title, the Cup of Excellence, and the League Cup.

Wado expressed his pride in this award in a message he posted on his official Facebook account.

The Moroccan coach confirmed that the award is not an individual achievement; rather, it is the result of collective work involving all components of the club, from the technical and medical staff to performance analysis, players, and fans.

He added that this award reflects the strategic vision of the Orlando Pirates management, praising the efforts made by every individual within the club to achieve a successful season. He also thanked the team's fans, describing them as among the best on the African continent, and urged them to continue supporting the team in upcoming challenges.

Wado also took the opportunity to congratulate his competitors for the Best Coach award; they are Miguel Cardoso, Khalil Ben Youssef, and Cedric Kazi, praising the strong competition that characterized the season and contributed to raising the level of the South African league.
