Wazzan visits Burnley's goal.
The young Moroccan international Abdullah Wazan, who started today, Sunday, with Ajax Amsterdam, led his team to victory over the English club Burnley with a score of 2-1, after scoring the winning goal in a friendly preparatory match held in Amsterdam.
Ajax opened the scoring in the 34th minute through Aaron Bowman, before Burnley equalized in the 62nd minute via Luka Coliușo.
Wazan, who was very active in the front line, restored the lead for the Dutch capital team by scoring the second goal in the 67th minute, following an assist from Don-Angelo Conado, before leaving his place two minutes later for Kian Fitz-Jim.
After delivering an outstanding performance, the Moroccan attacking midfielder was named the best player of the match, thus confirming his rising level during the summer preparations and his gradual integration into Ajax's first team.
This new brilliance comes just days after the successful debut of the European player, who stood out by providing an assist during the victory over FK Vojvodina (4-1) in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Abdullah Wazan was crowned African champion for under-17 years with the Moroccan national team in 2025, and he was also named the best player of the tournament, making him one of the most promising talents in Moroccan football.
