"The Court" rules in favor of Wydad against Vita Club.

Moroccan coach Abdel Salam Wadoo received a final ruling in his favor from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the complaint he filed against the Congolese club Vita Club on November 18, 2024, after he deemed that the club had unlawfully terminated his contract.

The court confirmed in its decision that Wadoo's lawsuit was admissible, and it acknowledged that Vita Club unilaterally terminated the Moroccan coach's contract on January 11, 2024, without any legitimate reason to justify such action.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport ordered the Congolese club to pay €157,000 representing unpaid wages and bonuses, along with €1,977.30 as compensation for travel expenses, as well as €453,250 as compensation for the arbitrary termination of the contract, bringing the total amount awarded to €612,227.30.

In a subsequent development, Wadoo informed the court on June 9, 2026, that there had been no progress in executing the ruling or settling the financial dues, prompting the Court of Arbitration for Sport to issue a new order on July 23, 2026.

Under this order, Vita Club was required to pay 3,000 Swiss francs as a contribution to the Moroccan coach's legal fees, in addition to bearing two-thirds of the arbitration costs before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with the exact amount to be determined later.

The court concluded its decision by warning Vita Club that failure to comply with the issued rulings could result in the imposition of strict penalties against it.
