FIFA ranking: Morocco sixth in the world.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has issued the latest global ranking of national teams, immediately after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, where the Moroccan national team maintained its position among the top global teams, rising to sixth place in the world with a score of 1803.99 points.

This advancement is the result of the outstanding level displayed by the "Atlas Lions" during the World Cup finals, where they had a strong participation and competed against the top global teams before exiting the competition in the quarter-finals.

The Moroccan team was ranked seventh in the world in the classification issued by FIFA on June 11, 2026, with a score of 1755 points, before successfully climbing to sixth place thanks to the positive results achieved in the "World Cup," adding 48.99 points to its tally.

On the continental level, the Moroccan team continued to sit atop African football, ahead of Senegal, which ranked eighteenth in the world, Egypt in twenty-fourth, Nigeria in twenty-sixth, Algeria in twenty-ninth, and Ivory Coast in thirty-first place globally.

The national team also maintained its lead in the Arab world, ahead of Egypt (24th in the world), Algeria (29th in the world), Tunisia (57th in the world), Saudi Arabia (58th in the world), and Qatar (59th in the world), reaffirming its position as the best Arab and African team in the global ranking.

On the international level, the ranking saw the Spanish team rise to the top of the global standings after winning the 2026 World Cup title, ahead of the Argentine team in second place, while the French team came in third, the English team fourth, and the Brazilian team in fifth place.
