Koulibaly is the best "Young World Cup" player.

The Spanish defender Pau Cubarsi was awarded the Best Young Player award at the 2026 World Cup, which took place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 20.

Cubarsi's award came after his outstanding performances, contributing to leading the Spanish national team to win the World Cup title for the second time in its history, following a victory over Argentina with a score of 1-0 after extra time in the final match held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The 19-year-old Barcelona defender was one of the key pillars of the Spanish national team in the tournament, as he led the defense alongside his teammate Aymeric Laporte, providing remarkable defensive performances that contributed to "La Roja" winning the title.

The Spanish national team conceded only one goal throughout their journey in the tournament, which occurred during their 2-1 victory over Belgium in the quarter-finals, thanks to the great synergy between Cubarsi and Laporte.

Cubarsi began his international career with the Spanish national team in March 2024, and since then he has played 20 international matches, becoming one of the key players in coach Luis de la Fuente's lineup over the past two years, confirming his status as one of the most promising talents in global football.
