Badou Zaki is coaching the Jordanian national team.

The Jordanian Football Association announced today, Sunday, the appointment of Moroccan coach Badou Zaki as the head coach of the Jordanian national team, succeeding his compatriot Jamal Salami, with a contract lasting one year, in preparation for upcoming challenges, foremost of which is the 2027 Asian Cup scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia.

The decision came after the approval of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Football Association, chaired by Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, to accept Jamal Salami and his coaching staff's resignation, thanking them for the period during which they led the national team, with the announcement of the assistant coaching staff that Zaki will choose to be made later.

Zaki is considered one of the most prominent names in the history of Moroccan football, having excelled as a goalkeeper and led the national team to a historic achievement in the 1986 World Cup. He also won the award for the best African player in 1986 before embarking on a successful coaching career.

In terms of coaching, Zaki previously led the Moroccan national team to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations "Tunisia 2004", and has coached several clubs and national teams, including Wydad Casablanca, Kawkab Marrakech, Al-Fateh Rabat, and Ittihad Tanger, in addition to the national teams of Sudan and Niger.

The Moroccan coach had expressed, a few days ago, his openness to the idea of coaching the Jordanian national team, considering that leading the "Nashama" represents an important opportunity, before the agreement was officially finalized with the Jordanian Football Association announcing his appointment to lead the national team in the upcoming phase.
