Crowning the beach volleyball lions

The Moroccan men's beach volleyball team, consisting of the duo Al-Gharouti-Walid, was crowned yesterday, Saturday, in Martil, with the title of the 31st Arab Beach Volleyball Championship.

This victory came after the Moroccan team won the final match against the Bahraini team, made up of the duo Al-Jaishi/Nasser, with two sets to one, in a match that took place on the golden sands of Martil beach.

The Moroccan team secured the match with a score of two sets to one, after losing the first set (20-22), before making a strong comeback and winning the second and third sets (21-16 and 15-10), thus retaining the title on home soil in front of their fans.

This achievement is a culmination of the remarkable journey the national team presented throughout the championship, confirming Morocco's position among the top Arab teams in beach volleyball, as they surpassed the Egyptian team made up of the duo George/Paulo in the semifinals, which ultimately finished fourth in the final standings after losing the placement match against the other Moroccan team consisting of the duo Al-Karawi/Al-Azhari.

In the women's category, the Egyptian team consisting of the duo Dua Al-Ghubashi/Mawra Magdy won the title of the 21st Arab Beach Volleyball Championship, after defeating the Moroccan team made up of the duo Iman Al-Yaqi/Noura Durgal in the final match with two sets to none (21-18 / 21-11), while the other Moroccan team consisting of the duo Dina/Alexandra Erhart finished third, after defeating their Egyptian counterparts in the placement match with two sets to zero (21-16 / 21-12).

This Arab championship was organized by the Royal Moroccan Volleyball Federation, under the supervision of the Arab Volleyball Federation, from July 13 to 19, in a highly competitive atmosphere with the presence of the top Arab teams in the sport, representing the countries of Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Iraq.
