El Krouj loses the record in the "mile."

British runner Josh Kerr broke the world record that had stood since 1999 in the men's mile race during the Diamond League athletics meeting held in the British capital, London, today Saturday.

Kerr recorded a time of three minutes and 42.66 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Moroccan runner Hicham El Guerrouj, which was three minutes and 43.13 seconds, achieved in the Italian capital, Rome, in 1999.
