A ruling that ends the dispute over the presidency of the Youth of the March.

The Administrative Court of Appeal in Agadir has resolved the legal dispute surrounding the presidency of the Sports Association of Chabab Al-Masira Football Club, after upholding the initial ruling confirming the legal status of Ali Bida as the club's president, thus ending an administrative and judicial conflict that has persisted since the ordinary general assembly held in Laayoune on September 27, 2024.

The events of the case date back to the general assembly that saw the election of Ali Bida as president of the club after he received the majority of votes from the members, following the approval of the moral and financial reports for the sports seasons 2022-2023 and 2023-2024; however, the elected board was unable to complete the process of obtaining the final receipt, which prevented it from exercising its legal powers, leading to a committee managing the club's affairs during the transitional period.

This situation resulted in a series of appeals and judicial and administrative procedures, primarily revolving around the legality of the outcomes of the general assembly and the implications of not completing the administrative deposit procedures; this reflected on the organizational status of the club and led to a continued duality in managing its affairs, amidst calls to enable the elected board to carry out its duties in accordance with the provisions of the law governing sports associations.

The appellate decision issued in Agadir reinforces the final judicial authority of Ali Bida's right to preside over the Sports Association of Chabab Al-Masira; this has put an end to the legal dispute that characterized the previous phase and opened the door for completing the necessary administrative and organizational procedures to activate the powers of the elected board and restore institutional stability to the club, with a view to focusing on upcoming sports challenges.

Commenting on the matter, Ali Bida, president of the Sports Association of Chabab Al-Masira Football Club, stated that the final judicial ruling in favor of the elected board constitutes a consolidation of the rule of law and reflects confidence in the independence of the Moroccan judiciary and its ability to resolve disputes according to legal provisions, noting that the decision has ended an exceptional phase experienced by the club and opened the door to fully restore institutional legitimacy.

Bida added, in a statement to the Hespress electronic newspaper, that the upcoming phase will be characterized by unity and prioritizing the higher interest of the club, affirming that the elected board will extend its hand to all components of the Chabab Al-Masira family, including local authorities, elected officials, members, former players, economic actors, and fans, to launch a comprehensive reform project that ensures administrative, financial, and technical stability.
