FIFA selects Jedd and Al-Brince for the ranking match.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) announced the appointment of Moroccans Jalal Jaid and Zakaria Brinssi to the officiating team for the placement match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place between France and England tomorrow, Saturday, in Miami.
During this match, Jalal Jaid will serve as the fourth official, while Zakaria Brinssi has been assigned the role of reserve assistant referee, confirming the trust placed in Moroccan refereeing talents on the international stage.
The match will be officiated by Venezuelan referee Jesus Valenzuela, assisted by his compatriots Jorge Urrego as the first assistant and Tulio Moreno as the second assistant.
On another note, Slovenian Slavko Vinčić has been appointed to officiate the final match between Spain and Argentina, scheduled to take place the day after tomorrow, Sunday, at the New York New Jersey stadium.
Vinčić will be assisted in managing the global summit by his compatriots Tomaž Klancnik as the first assistant referee and Andraž Kovacic as the second assistant referee.
The Slovenian referee previously officiated the match between the Moroccan national team and its Brazilian counterpart in the first round of the 2026 World Cup.
