Lemoshi: Morocco is an African football model.

The former coach of the Tunisian national team, Sabri Lamouchi, considered that Morocco has become one of the most prominent football models in Africa, thanks to the significant development it has achieved in recent years on various levels.

Lamouchi explained in media statements that the football scene has changed noticeably compared to what it was like about twenty years ago, pointing out that Tunisia was then outperforming Morocco, before the kingdom succeeded in making a qualitative leap.

He confirmed that Morocco today leads in several areas related to the development of football, including investment in the sports sector, the construction of modern infrastructure, the establishment of specialized academies, in addition to focusing on training young players.

He added that this development has contributed to enhancing the attractiveness of the Moroccan national team to players with dual nationality, who now view representing Morocco as a sporting choice based on conviction, rather than as an alternative to other options.

Lamouchi concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the Moroccan football project now enjoys a clear vision and great ambition, which makes it capable of attracting talents and providing them with the appropriate environment for development and achieving success.

It is worth noting that Sabri Lamouchi led the Tunisian national team in one match during the 2026 World Cup finals, before being dismissed from his position following a heavy defeat against Sweden with a score of (5-1), and was succeeded by French coach Hervé Renard.
