Al-Zaki opens up to leading the Jordan national team.

The national coach Badou Zaki expressed his openness to the idea of coaching the Jordanian national football team, succeeding his compatriot Jamal Salami, who ended his association with the Jordanian Football Association following the exit of the "Nashama" from the first round of the 2026 World Cup.

Zaki said, in statements to "Al-Mashhad Sports" channel, in response to a question about whether he received an official offer from the Jordanian Federation, with an expressive smile: "An offer to coach the Jordan national team cannot be refused," indicating his willingness to take on this experience if the right conditions are met.

The former national coach clarified, on the other hand, that he is currently tied to another offer concerning the Niger national team, without hiding his admiration for the possibility of overseeing the Jordanian team in the upcoming phase.

Zaki's statements come at a time when the Jordanian Federation continues to search for a new coach, after deciding to end Jamal Salami's duties following the team's participation in the 2026 World Cup, which the "Nashama" concluded by exiting the group stage without earning any points.

The Moroccan coach's statements open the door for speculation regarding his next destination, amid Jordan's interest in rebuilding its team, while Zaki remains associated with another project with the Niger national team.
