Al-Samadi: Instead of "conspiracy theories," building the future requires discussing mistakes.

The former international player and star of the national team in the 1994 World Cup, Mohamed Aziz Al-Samadi, firmly rejected the conspiracy theory promoted by some following the Moroccan team's defeat against the French team in the World Cup. Al-Samadi considered that accepting these claims is something that reason rejects, stating that it is impossible to convince 26 players and a technical and medical staff to conspire and betray their national team.

The former player recalled during his appearance on the "Hespress Debate" program his harsh personal experience in the 1994 World Cup in the United States, when the generation he played with faced similar accusations of negligence after the defeat against the Saudi team.

Al-Samadi revealed how those rumors had a devastating and direct impact on the personal life of goalkeeper Khalil Azmi, who could not sleep that night and kept talking to himself in the hotel lobby out of deep regret, which affected his career and later led him to settle in the United States.

The same speaker explained that the emotional response and shock of elimination from some Moroccan fans is what made them believe those illusions, emphasizing on the other hand that the French team was technically and tactically superior, and that the defeat was logical and should be accepted in a sportsmanlike manner.

In his technical analysis of the match, Al-Samadi pointed out that the national team only presented 30 percent of its true potential compared to what it showed in the group stage matches, where the players faced significant difficulties in finding solutions to penetrate the French defense, and suffered from sluggishness in the midfield. He attributed this decline to the absence of a bench that matched the level of the starting players, which negatively affected the team, especially with the succession of injuries and changes in the defensive system.

The former football star called on fans to provide constructive criticism regarding the coach's tactical choices and performance development instead of succumbing to rumors, stressing the need to draw lessons and correct mistakes in preparation for upcoming challenges, foremost among them the 2030 World Cup, especially since the average age of the national team players does not exceed 26 years.
