Singing extends the break of the World Cup final.

Media reports have indicated that the halftime break during the final match of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for next Sunday, will exceed the usual duration of 15 minutes due to the artistic performance that will take place between the halves.

The duration of the performance has not yet been finalized, but reports suggest that its segments will last between 20 and 30 minutes.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) announced weeks ago that several global stars will participate in this performance, including Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber, the band Coldplay, and the Korean K-pop group BTS, without revealing the duration.

The rules of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) state that the halftime break must not exceed 15 minutes and can only be modified with the referee's approval.

Before the final begins, a closing ceremony will also take place, featuring performances by Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robbie Williams, along with the famous YouTube content creator Ayo and Teo.

American actor Tom Cruise will also participate in the ceremony, while FIFA clarified that the performance, which will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will showcase the highlights of the tournament that involved 48 teams in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, which started on June 11.
