Moroccan international player Nayef Aguerd has returned to collective training with French club Olympique Marseille, as the club announced the Moroccan defender has resumed his preparations at the "Robert Louis-Dreyfus" center, following his recovery from an injury that kept him off the field for the past few months.

Aguerd had suffered a thigh injury during the last season, and his last appearance was in the quarter-finals of the French Cup against Toulouse on March 4, before he was injured and also missed the opportunity to participate with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup.

The return of the 30-year-old Moroccan defender represents a significant boost for Olympique Marseille as they prepare for the new season, while his future with the club remains uncertain, despite both parties being tied to a contract that extends until June 30, 2030.

Aguerd played 22 matches for Olympique Marseille during the 2025-2026 season, receiving five yellow cards, while his market value is estimated at around 15 million euros, according to "Transfermarkt."
