The Saudi Union is moving to sign Amrabat.

The Saudi club Al-Ittihad is seeking to sign Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, a player from Turkish club Fenerbahçe, during the current summer transfer window, as part of its efforts to strengthen its squad with prominent players in preparation for the 2026-2027 football season.

Turkish media outlets, including the platform "LUE TV," have reported that Al-Ittihad's management has begun steps to sign the midfielder of the "Atlas Lions," after placing his name among their priorities in the summer transfer market.

The same sources added that the Saudi club is preparing to make an offer worth around 20 million euros to convince Fenerbahçe to part with Amrabat's services, despite the player being under contract with the Turkish team.

Reports have clarified that the transfer of the Moroccan international to the "Roshen" Professional League remains contingent on the approval of Fenerbahçe and the player regarding the anticipated offer, given Al-Ittihad's desire to finalize a strong deal to bolster its midfield before the new season begins.

Turkish sources did not disclose the duration of the contract or the financial value that Amrabat would receive if the deal is completed, but they confirmed that negotiations are progressing positively, making his transfer to Al-Ittihad a viable possibility in the coming weeks.

It is worth noting that Amrabat represented Real Betis in Spain last season on loan, coming from Fenerbahçe, which holds his contract until the summer of 2028.
