Aliwi joins the Crystal Palace squad.
Former Moroccan international Jamal Alioui is preparing to embark on a new phase in his coaching career, after Crystal Palace announced on Saturday his joining the first team's technical staff, where he will take on the role of assistant coach within the team led by Frenchman Pierre Sage.
The club clarified, through an official statement, that Pierre Sage has completed the formation of his technical staff, which includes alongside Alioui both Damien Dela Santa and Sandy Gichar, in addition to Paddy McCarthy as the assistant coach, and Andy Koi as the goalkeeping coach, in preparation for the new season.
Alioui's appointment comes as an extension of the collaboration he has with Pierre Sage, as he previously worked alongside him in the technical staff of Olympique Lyon, before they continued to work together in a subsequent experience, which strengthened the trust between the two and paved the way for their transition to a new adventure in the Premier League.
In terms of coaching, Alioui, who is 44 years old, has accumulated diverse experiences, including working as an assistant coach for the Moroccan national team under 20, in addition to holding technical positions within several French clubs, before arriving in England through the doors of Crystal Palace.
During his playing career, Alioui had a rich professional journey, representing the Moroccan national team, as well as experiencing leagues in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Qatar, in addition to his time playing with Wydad Athletic Club, which gave him significant experience on both local and international levels.
