Invitation to honor Haman at the Boston match.
The "Russo Verde" group, supporters of the Moroccan national team, called on Moroccan fans present at the Boston stadium to dedicate the 14th minute of the "Atlas Lions" match against France, in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup, to a moment of silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the late Moroccan international Hman Jrir.
The group explained, through a post on social media, that this initiative comes in commemoration of one of the most prominent names in the history of national football, as he was the first player to score a goal for the Moroccan national team in the World Cup finals.
They added that the significance of the initiative is enhanced by the fact that the late Hman Jrir rests in the city of Boston, USA, which is hosting the match between the Moroccan team and its French counterpart, considering that the occasion represents an opportunity to renew loyalty to one of the pioneers of Moroccan football.
The group concluded its call by urging Moroccan fans to participate in large numbers in this humanitarian gesture, in appreciation of what the late player contributed to national football, and to pray for his soul.
