Gaza supports the "Atlas Lions" in the World Cup quarter-finals against France.
The eyes of the Arab audience are directed this Thursday evening towards the anticipated match that brings together the Moroccan national team and its French counterpart, in a game that carries the hopes of millions of fans across the Arab world.
In the Gaza Strip, despite the difficult humanitarian conditions that the residents are living in, the war and siege have not overshadowed the passion of Palestinians for following the "Atlas Lions," whom they see as representatives of Arab football and bearers of its ambitions on the global stage.
In identical statements to Hespress, a number of Palestinian citizens expressed their full support for the Moroccan national team, expressing their hope that it continues to write history and reaches the final match.
One Palestinian citizen stated that all Arabs have high hopes for the Moroccan national team, adding: "We hope that Morocco achieves a positive result tonight against France, and all wishes are possible, God willing. We hope they win and reach the semifinals, as it is a team that has been planned for years, and its results confirm the amount of work that has been put into it."
The same speaker added that Morocco has become accustomed to honoring Arabs in various sporting events, noting that "the Moroccan national team is the Arab team that consistently achieves remarkable results, whether in the World Cup, the Olympics, or age-group championships, and these are achievements that no other Arab country has reached." He continued: "We, as Palestinians, are waiting for Morocco to continue this journey and reach the farthest point possible."
For his part, another Palestinian citizen expressed his confidence in the "Atlas Lions" ability to overcome the French national team, saying: "God willing, we expect the Moroccan national team to win, as we support all Arab teams without exception. The Moroccan team raises our heads and includes great stars who play in the best European clubs, and I expect them to win by two goals to one."
