The competition between Khabbaz and Tushasi is missing the Bedouin.
Moroccan coach Said Al-Badwi confirmed that he has decided not to attend the anticipated match between the two Moroccan champions in kickboxing, Tarek Khabaz and Mohamed Tushasi, scheduled for December 12 in the Dutch city of Arnhem, as part of the "Glory Collision 10" event, where they will compete for the world title in the light heavyweight category.
Al-Badwi explained in a statement to "Hesport" that his relationship with the two Moroccan champions goes beyond training, noting that he considers them like sons, having followed their journey since childhood until they became prominent kickboxing champions.
The Moroccan coach added that life is bigger than sports, and that titles and victories cannot be more important than human relationships, indicating that this is what led him to make the decision to distance himself from this confrontation, saying: "I will not be present at this match, and I will not stand in the corner of either one of them. My heart cannot choose between two sons; there is no place for division when love is the foundation."
Al-Badwi also emphasized that brotherhood is not measured by money or championships, explaining: "There are bonds that no competition can change, as they are greater than any title or sports achievement." He considered that the values he was raised on were behind his stance, saying: "I am Moroccan, and I grew up believing that unity is always stronger than division. Loyalty, love, respect, and brotherhood will always be more important to me than any match, title, or moment of glory."
He concluded his message by praying for his fighters, saying: "No matter the outcome of the match, both will continue to have my love, respect, and prayers. I ask God to protect them, grant them success in this world and the hereafter, and to maintain love and unity between them."
The two champions enter this confrontation with statistics that reflect the level of experience each possesses in the ring. Champion Mohamed Tushasi has fought 26 matches in his professional career, achieving 23 victories, 14 of which were by knockout, against only three defeats, confirming his rapid rise to the top of the light heavyweight category.
On the other hand, Tarek Khabaz relies on his vast experience, having fought 66 professional matches, winning 53 of them, including 28 by knockout, with 12 defeats and one draw, making him one of the most experienced fighters in the organization, and giving the upcoming match an exceptional character that combines a young champion at the peak of his brilliance with a seasoned competitor accustomed to major bouts.
