Real Madrid has signed Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter for around 20 million euros (23 million dollars), according to what was announced by the second-placed team in last season's Spanish football league.
The "Royal" club stated in a statement, "(We have) reached an agreement for the transfer of player Denzel Dumfries, who will be linked to our club for the next four seasons until June 30, 2030."
Dumfries participated with the Netherlands in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, currently being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, playing all four matches in full before his national team was eliminated in the Round of 32 against Morocco 2-3 on penalties (1-1 in regular and extra time), noting that he provided two assists in the tournament.
