Morocco's league in the penultimate round.
The Moroccan football league enters its decisive phase with the matches of round 29, the penultimate of the season, amidst an open battle for the title and a fiercer struggle to avoid relegation and playoffs, while no team has yet succeeded in definitively determining its fate.
At the top of the standings, FUS Rabat continues to cling to the lead (55 points), just one point ahead of Royal Army in second place, making this slight margin enough to render any slip-up extremely costly in the final stretch of the season.
The Fassi team visits Kawkab Marrakech, who is in ninth place (34 points), knowing that only a win will ensure they maintain their position at the top before the final round, while any slip could give their direct pursuer a valuable opportunity to seize the lead.
On the other hand, the Royal Army faces a tough test away from home against Meknes Club, who is in tenth place (33 points).
Although the military team has not tasted defeat all season, their numerous draws have left them trailing by a point behind the leader, thus they seem required to achieve victory and wait for any slip from FUS Rabat if they wish to reclaim first place before the final round.
Renaissance Berkane, in third place (51 points), is still mathematically in the title race despite the narrowing margin for maneuver, as the "Orange Team" hosts Wydad Casablanca, who is in fifth place (43 points) in one of the most prominent clashes of the round.
Berkane has no choice but to win to keep their hopes alive, while keeping an eye on the results of the leader and their direct pursuer.
As for Wydad, who has practically distanced themselves from the title race, they are looking to stop their negative streak and salvage what can be salvaged at the end of a disappointing season for their fans.
Raja Casablanca, in fourth place (50 points), also clings to their chances as they host Hassania Agadir.
The "Green Team" knows that any slip could eliminate them from the competition, while a win would keep them in the heart of the struggle if the teams ahead of them falter.
Hassania, in eleventh place (32 points), still needs additional points to secure their survival officially and avoid complicated calculations.
At the bottom of the standings, attention is drawn to the direct confrontation between Olympique Safi and Ittihad Tawraka, in a match that could be crucial for both sides.
