Koeman resigns from coaching the Netherlands.

Ronald Koeman submitted his resignation on Tuesday from his position as coach of the Netherlands national team, after being eliminated by Morocco in a penalty shootout in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

Koeman, who was reappointed as the coach of the "Oranje" in January 2023, wrote on his Instagram account, "Last night I made the decision to end my tenure as the coach of the Dutch national team."

He added, "I leave with mixed feelings. Of course, I had hoped to end my time with the national team with a World Cup title, but that dream did not come true."
