The coach of the Netherlands national team, Ronald Koeman, praised the Moroccan national team, considering that the Round of 32 match between the two teams, scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, in Coordinated Universal Time, will be a "great match" between competitors aiming to play leading roles in the 2026 World Cup.
The Dutch coach, in response to a question from the Moroccan News Agency during the press conference preceding the match, described the "Atlas Lions" as a "strong and attractive" team, noting that this encounter comes "very early" in the competition for two teams driven by the ambition to go far in the tournament.
He added: "Morocco is a strong team. It will be a great match between two teams striving to go far in this competition. A match of this magnitude, in my opinion, comes very early for both teams at this stage of the World Cup."
Koeman also praised the footballing qualities of the Moroccan national team, highlighting its technical excellence and attacking identity, and confirmed that "Morocco is an exciting team that loves to possess the ball and deliver high-quality football thanks to its extremely talented players."
In this regard, the Dutch coach considered that his group approaches this encounter with great respect for their opponent, while also expressing confidence in the abilities of his players, saying: "We respect Morocco and will try to exploit our strengths to win against them."
