"Al-Tetouani" is promoted to the first division.
Morocco's Tetouan secured the second promotion spot to the first division of the professional national league "Inwi" after winning away against Racing Athletic by two goals to none today, Saturday, in the twenty-ninth round, in a match that solidified two opposing fates: the Tetouan team returning to the first division and Racing Athletic being relegated to the amateur division.
Tetouan raised its points tally to 50, placing it second, six points ahead of its closest pursuer, Atlas Khénifra, which settled for a draw against Ittihad Islamic Oujda with a score of one goal each, ensuring the Tetouan team’s return to the top tier before the final round of the season.
For its part, Wydad Temara, which had secured its promotion earlier, continued its positive results, returning with a valuable win from the field of Stade Marocain with a score of one goal to none, raising its points to 53.
With this victory, Wydad Temara maintained a three-point lead over Tetouan, awaiting the final round that will determine the identity of the top team in the final standings, with a clear advantage for the Temara team.
In the chasing positions, Atlas Khénifra drew with Ittihad Islamic Oujda, while Amal Tiznit drew with Mouloudia Oujda, bringing the Khénifra team's points to 44 in third place, compared to 43 points for Amal Tiznit.
This round witnessed a wide victory for Wydad Fes over Chabab Al-Masira with a clean three-goal score, allowing it to raise its points to 37 and climb to eighth place, while Chabab Al-Masira's points remained at 41, in fifth place.
The Salmi youth also continued their positive results after winning away against the Quneitra club by two goals to one, raising their points to 41, joining Chabab Al-Masira and Stade Marocain with the same tally.
At the bottom of the standings, Raja Beni Mellal revived its hopes of avoiding relegation after winning against Chabab Mohammedia by two goals to none, raising its points to 30, but it remained in the second-to-last position before a decisive round that will definitively determine the contours of the relegation battle.
Chabab Mohammedia's points remained at 33 in thirteenth place, while Ittihad Abid J'ad stayed in fourteenth place with 32 points after drawing with Chabab Ben Jrir, which also maintained its eleventh position with 36 points, while Ittihad Islamic Oujda raised its points to 34, amid a close competition among the bottom clubs before the final round.
