The Senegalese national team secured its qualification to the Round of 32 of the World Cup today, Saturday, in Coordinated Universal Time, after benefiting from the results of the final round of Group G.
After Belgium's victory over New Zealand with a score of 5-1, and Egypt's draw with Iran 1-1, the Iranian national team, which finished third in Group G, remained at 3 points with a goal difference of zero.
The Senegalese team, which had achieved a wide victory over Iraq with a score of 5-0, benefited from a goal difference of (+2) to secure its place among the best eight teams that finished in third place.
The Senegalese team finished the ninth group in third place with 3 points, after starting its campaign with two losses against France (3-1) and Norway (3-2), before achieving its big victory over Iraq.
