Wydad Club denounces refereeing decisions.
The Wydad Athletic Club issued a statement of condemnation expressing its deep astonishment at the refereeing decisions witnessed during its match against the FUS Rabat, yesterday Thursday, as part of the 27th round of the professional league.
The "Red" team protested the referee's failure to award a clear penalty in their favor in the first minute of the match, following a handball inside the penalty area, expressing its astonishment at the lack of intervention from the refereeing team despite the clarity of the situation.
The club revealed in its statement that it sent an official letter to the Central Refereeing Committee and the National Professional Football League demanding an investigation and providing the necessary clarifications regarding this decision, considering that the non-awarding of the penalty is an unjustified refereeing decision that directly affected the course of the match, raising legitimate questions about the handling of such cases that impact the principle of equal opportunities and the integrity of competition.
The club condemned this refereeing decision, calling for measures to ensure the proper application of the laws of the game.
Wydad Athletic Club also announced that it reserves all its rights to defend its legitimate interests, while reiterating its respect for institutions and its trust in the procedures that protect the integrity of competition and enhance the refereeing system.
