The referee's decision in the Al-Mansour match is being protested.
The Raja Club Athletic issued a statement expressing a strong protest directed at the National Directorate of Refereeing, following the refereeing decisions witnessed in their match against the Union of Yaacoub Mansour team, as part of the 27th round of the professional league, which took place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
The statement clarified that this protest was due to the cancellation of a penalty that was described as clear in favor of Raja Club Athletic in the 96th minute of the match, after the video assistant referee (VAR) Abdel Monem Belaslam intervened, calling the main referee Hicham Tamsani to change his decision, despite the footage clearly showing an additional movement towards the ball that obstructed its path, which the club believes aligns with the text of the legislator that excludes such cases.
The "green" team demanded to be provided with all the technical data for the listening and review that took place inside the VAR room, including audio recordings, the technical lines used, and their legal interpretation, in order to activate the principle of transparency.
The club also confirmed that this decision directly affected the outcome of the match at a critical stage in the ranking race, expressing its deep concern over the repeated impactful refereeing errors against the team this season, and calling on the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to open a serious investigation to ensure equal opportunities and uphold the integrity of the competition.
