"Royal Air Maroc" launches a program for Monterrey flights.
Following the qualification of the Moroccan national football team to the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) launched a "new exceptional flight program to enable Moroccan fans to travel to Monterrey, Mexico, to support the Atlas Lions during their upcoming match scheduled for Monday, June 29."
Hamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, stated: "As the official carrier of the national football team, Royal Air Maroc extends its warmest congratulations to the Atlas Lions on this well-deserved qualification; in line with its ongoing commitment to support national football, the company has mobilized all its resources to establish an exceptional program in a short time frame, responding to the aspirations of Moroccan fans wishing to support their team in Mexico, similar to what was accomplished during the three matches of the group stage."
Royal Air Maroc clarified in a statement that it "will schedule six exceptional flights from Casablanca to Monterrey during the period from Saturday to the upcoming Monday, in addition to six exceptional return flights during the period from Tuesday to the following Thursday."
The statement indicated that "thus, the total number of additional flights will reach 12, with a capacity exceeding 3,000 seats, marking a historical precedent for Royal Air Maroc, which will secure flights to Monterrey and Mexico for the first time."
The statement mentioned that "these flights will be operated directly between Casablanca and Monterrey using large, long-range new-generation aircraft, ensuring the best safety and comfort conditions for travelers," explaining that "the flight duration is estimated at about 11 hours each way."
To enable as many fans as possible to attend this event, the national company proposed "a fixed price of 10,000 dirhams for a round trip in economy class, which is non-changeable and non-refundable," adding that "to enter Mexican territory, travelers must have a valid Mexican visa, while holders of valid visas issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or Schengen Area countries are also allowed to enter Mexico."
RAM confirmed that "tickets for the flights will be available for sale starting today, Thursday, June 25, at 6 PM, through the commercial agencies of Royal Air Maroc in Morocco, as well as through the portal https://golions.royalairmaroc.com."
