A grandstand collapsed in the Swedish national team's stadium.
A stand collapsed at the training ground of the Swedish national team for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The stand fell at the Frisco stadium near Dallas onto an area that included a temporary media platform, but no one was injured as there was no training session taking place at that time.
Sweden's general manager, Stefan Peterson, told the newspaper (Aftonbladet), "They wanted to demolish something, but it seems it fell in the wrong direction."
He added, "Fortunately, no one was hurt; they blew something up incorrectly."
Sweden's players noticed the aftermath of the stand's collapse upon arriving for a training session on Wednesday, but the team's head coach, Graham Potter, confirmed that what happened did not affect Sweden's preparations for facing Japan in the third and final round of the group stage.
